We had a short briefing over coffee about what the couple wanted in their pictures (snow, mountains and old Swiss buildings). Shannon fixed her makeup and we were off in two cars to the first location.
I don’t want to reveal too much about where we went because I don’t want others following in my footsteps. (The Swiss love their privacy.) We left the cafe at 1 p.m. and finished at 5 p.m. after visiting four different areas around Interlaken. We visited the mountains, an old castle and they walked behind a waterfall.
Posing people. We tried a few of the standard “posing for couples” during the afternoon. However, I found it easier to create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and let the couple fool around. Then the posing and the emotion came naturally. Shannon was full of good ideas!
Martin and Shannon told me that they found me on the Internet along with other photographers in Switzerland. The fee was basically the same. I’m glad they chose me because it was a fun afternoon. It was very enjoyable and we ended with over 700 pictures which the couple received on a USB stick.
