A family photo shoot in Murren (or Mürren), Switzerland.
A lovely family from New York, U.S.A. We met in Mürren by the furnicular and traveled up to the Allmendhubel together (1,907 meters or 6,257 ft above sea level). Here there is a Children’s Playground Flower Park. A good place to start with a family with a young child. She had got us up early. This was fortunate because the rising sun was still hidden behind the clouds. There was no shadow on their faces and I could photograph in all directions. (The sun rises over the top of the mountains in the background making it difficult to photograph on a sunny morning.)
We was lucky to get there early. Several families with young children would arrive over the next three hours. The family photo shoot in Murren was only scheduled for an hour but it continued for two hours at no extra cost to the family.
Coffee break in the Allmendhubel restaurant. “Are you British” and “How did you end up in Switzerland.” I’m normally asked this on every family photo shoot during a coffee break. Yes I am British and how I ended up in Switzerland is a long story. Because I speak fluent English, it is easier to communicate with families and couples on photo shoots. I always ask for feedback and ideas.
