Mark and Rasa’s wedding in Interlaken, Switzerland. It started off as a rainy day and ended up snowing! But that didn’t dampen the spirit of the small group of guests who had a great time in the Berner Oberland. I was originally booked to photograph the civil ceremony in Interlaken but I stayed with the group and photographed their day (at no extra cost).
After the ceremony, it was time to cut the cake and drink champagne in a local restaurant (Des Alpes) Afterwards, a short walk to the boat station at Interlaken Ost. The MS Brienz took us to Giessbach where the group had lunch and I took group photos inside the historic Grand Hotel.
Afterwards, we travelled by ship to Brienz and took the train back to Interlaken. Unfortunately the train hit a tree that had fallen on to the track. The train had to limp back to Brienz where we boared another train. Onboard, Rasa was reminded that she hadn’t thrown her wedding bouquet. So she did it there and then on the train to the delight of the Japanese tourists.
