Some information for a photo shoot on Männlichen.
There are some spectacular views on a clear day. The Royal Walk is a trail that climbs up to a viewing platform on Männlichen. It’s a steep walk that can take 30 – 45 minutes. The cable car station is at 7,525 feet above sea level and the viewing platform is at 7,675 feet above sea level.
My picture shows the cable car station and in the distance is a peak. That is Männlichen and the viewing platform. You can see the trail leading up and it is a steep-ish climb. Be prepared.
Wikipedia: The Männlichen is a 2,343-metre (7,687 ft) mountain in the Swiss Alps located within the Canton of Berne. It can be reached from Wengen by the Wengen–Männlichen aerial cableway, or from Grindelwald using the Grindelwald–Männlichen gondola cableway (GM). (Source: Wikipedia).
Wengen to Männlichen cable car
First of all it is important to note that the cable car does not operate all year around. There is a summer season and a winter season. Timetable and prices for the cable car from Wengen are here.
Grindelwald to Männlichen
You can also get to Männlichen from Grindelwald. Take the train or bus from the station to Grindelwald Terminal. There is a new, modern cable car system which will take you up to Männlichen.
