Photographer Grindelwald

Photographer Grindelwald First. These pictures are from a visit on the 26th April 2019 to Grindelwald First (2,167 m. or 7,109 feet above sea level). Plenty of snow around although the ski pistes are closed for the winter season. It’s also impossible to walk to Lake Bachalpsee. The path is closed and covered with plenty of snow.

You can travel to Grindelwald on your Swiss Pass for free. The ride in the First Gondola to the top will cost you 60 Swiss Francs return. You get a 50% reduction is you have a Swiss Pass.

The top of Grindelwald First has a large restaurant and First Cliff Walk by Tissot. It is popular with Japanese travel groups who seem to suddenly appear in front of my camera whenever I’m trying to take a picture. This is a nice place for a surprise engagement proposal.
