Surprise Engagement in Swiss Alps. How he asked. Well it was carefully planned between Ben and myself. His girlfriend knew nothing until he went down on one knee high up in the Swiss Alps.
Ben and Farhana are a couple living in Florida on holiday in Europe. Ben contacted me by e-mail. He told me what he would like and I helped with suggestions. As always, the weather was unpredictable. Ben decided upon an early morning (08:45) surprise engagement in the Swiss Alps. My web page on suprise engagements is here.
I made eye contact with Ben at the railway station. We were on the same train from Interlaken. They followed me to the cable car station. I moved ahead at the cable car station and I was ready for them at the location.
Ben introduced me after the proposal and we took a few more pictures. We then took the cable car further up the mountain for a short photo shoot.
I can be working with five or six clients on surprise engagement projects. Many questions are asked and I try to reply as quickly as possible. Sometimes I get a nervous person who has a lot of “what if” questions or what is my plan B. I cannot answer them. Their e-mails arrive late at night because of the time zone difference. I am experienced and flexible. Normally I can change times and days because of the weather.
On occasion, I have had people contacted me for information with no interest in booking me. So, I do NOT give out a lot of information until I am booked and it is closer to the date.
I did recommend Mürren in the past for a mountain background. This location is far easier to get to and there are a lot more possibilities. The location in Mürren is closed for several months whereas the cable car in Grindelwald only closes for a couple of weeks for maintenance.
