Patrick asked Amber to marry him on the Harder Kulm, Interlaken on the 27th April, 2018.
The viewing ramp and the restaurant overlook Interlaken (1,322 meters above sea level). It is a popular destination for tourists and finding a spot can be difficult at the wrong time of the day. Patrick booked me for the evening and they arrived shortly after 7 p.m. The viewing ramp was not busy and we have plenty of room. They arrived in time for the sunset over Thun Lake.
The restaurant on the Harder Kulm is one of the few places in the Berner Oberland where you can be officially married. Normlly people are married in the registry office in Interlaken. It’s a short walk from the registry office to the Harder Kulm railway (furnicular). The second floor of the restaurant on the Harder Kulm has a large balcony. There are spectacular views of the Eiger. Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. It is the perfect place for a celebration. There is also a modern room for receptions, etc. with panoramic views built in 2017.
I live 15 minutes away from the Harder Kulm furnicular and I have a season ticket to use the railway. It is not necessary to purchase an extra ticket for me!
