A really lovely couple from the USA get engaged to be married in Interlaken. Spencer proposed to Mary at the end of October in poor weather conditions. The viewing platform of the Harder Kulm was in the clouds. It was also early evening with poor light.

I asked Spencer to change the date and the time. However, Mary’s family had planned a family celebration in the restaurant. It had to be at that time on that day. The Harder Kulm (elevation 1,322 m or 4337 ft.) is a peak and a popular tourist attraction in Interlaken. The poor conditions meant that the viewing platform was empty. Except for the plastic cow. (It’s a smaller cow that before but still takes up space on the viewing platform. It is difficult to get good pictures on the right side of the Spencer and Mary. Remember it is a surprise marriage proposal. Mary does not know that I am there to record this important moment in their lives.

I use a good camera (Nikon D850) that allows me to take pictures in low light conditions.
