Engagement in the snow

The weather seems to have taken everyone by surprise. It has got very cold and the snow has returned. A week ago it was very warm and sunny. It’s unusual weather for the end of April in Switzerland.

This was not a surprise engagement. Harshitha had found out early that Dheeraj had planned to propose. (But they didn’t tell me!) They came dressed for an engagement photo shoot in very nice clothes. Unaware that it had snowed during the night. Not the weather for high heels.

My good friend Bhupendrasinh Jethwaand who is a top photographer in London commented on Facebook: “It’s called a “Bollywood shoot” John, we do this all the time in ice & snow ????❤️”

I have had a few e-mails this month asking me what the typical weather is for May. It’s impossible to predict the weather these days with global warming. Switzerland is under a jet stream .
