I have a lot more control over the situation when it is part of a photo shoot. So do you because you can choose the location. You get a better idea of the area and the view.

A lot will depend on the weather. It is normally possible to switch the days if there is a chance of better weather.

With Ryan and Susan we used a car to visit three locations near Interlaken. Ryan really liked the second location and gave me the signal!

An alternative is when I am not known to your girlfriend. We meet at a location and I’m acting like a tourist until you are ready to propose. You can come up to me and ask me to take a picture using your camera. This will give me a chance to position you both better in regard to the background and the sunshine. The sun can create ugly shadows across the face.

I will take some extra pictures using your camera after the proposal. This will give you the opportunity to instantly inform your family and friends by e-mail, WhatsApp and on your Facebook page.
