A surprise marriage proposal in the Swiss Alps on a bright, sunny day. I am taking pictures as it is happening. I was at the location pretending to be a landscape photographer. KK came over and asked if I could take a picture of Jon and him with his smartphone. It gave me the opportunity to place them in a spot with a nice background. I took the picture and gave him back his cellphone. He went down on one knee as I was returning to my camera! Fortunately I was ready with my camera mounted on a tripod.
I couldn’t do much about the sun. I wished for some cloud but it never happened. The harsh sunshine is always a challenge when there is no shade. It bounces colors off the grass onto the couple. Not only grass. The road, walls etc. The lake at Iseltwald.
I add a standard sharpen to the pictures. Over 99% of the pictures do not have a vignette. This is something you can add to your pictures with free software like Snapseed. It’s easier for you to add and impossible to take away! Therefore, I don’t add it.
