A surprise engagement took place on Grindelwald’s First Mountain in mid-December 2026. Jasmine and Traver from California got engaged at an elevation of 7,165 ft (2,184 m).

First is a picturesque mountain destination accessible by the Firstbahn cableway from Grindelwald. Promoted by tourist organizations as the “Top of Adventure.”

There was no one else on the First Walk, allowing me to take my time and capture some unique photos. Usually, there are people around—often distracting and getting in the way of the shot.

It was cloudy and the low sun wasn’t being a nuisance.
