Photo Shoot on Grindelwald First
A couples photo shoot in the middle of the day on top of First in Grindelwald. It’s July, high season, and not the best time. Marge and Reginald were on a bus tour and this was the only time they could get there.
It was cloudy on top and we had to hope for a moment when the clouds parted and we could see the mountains.
I gave them 367 pictures to download.
Grindelwald-First has become extremely popular. There are people everywhere! Standing in lines to use the attractions. The First Flieger and First Glider. Waiting in line over half and hour on the suspension bridge of the First Cliff Walk. I have to wait until people have walked past.
It’s the starting point for a hike to Bachalpsee lake. I have never seen so many people walking along the trail at lunchtime.
The biggest problem, in my opinion, is around 4 pm when everyone wants to use the gondola to go back down to Grindelwald.
I recommend an early start despite the problem with the harsh sunlight. Grindelwald First has live webcams. Check out the TV channel in your hotel in Interlaken.
“First” is a mountain location and small summit on the slopes of the Schwarzhorn in the Bernese Oberland. Elevation: 2,184 m or 7,165 ft.
