Grindelwald’s First mountain summit is a popular destination known for its breathtaking views, ideal for capturing stunning photos. I often see people taking selfies without including the iconic Eiger mountain in the background. Grindelwald First: elevation: 2,166 m or 7106.299 ft.

Grindelwald First is open year-round, although the gondola and most services operate on seasonal schedules. From May to October 2025, the Grindelwald-First cable car runs daily from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with the last descent at 6:00 PM. Please be aware that a temporary closure may occur in late October. To stay informed and avoid any disruptions, always check the official timetable on the Jungfrau.ch website before your visit.
