Another surprise engagement to capture on Grindelwald First, this time at the end of January 2026 — and, as usual, it meant an early start ❄️💍

I was on the very first gondola up to the summit, arriving mid-week with just a handful of skiers behind me. For a short while, I had the ski piste completely to myself, high above the Swiss Alps — a rare and peaceful moment.

Ian and Marina were about 20 minutes behind me, and as I waited in –5°C temperatures, I watched the sun rise slowly from behind the mountains. I was hoping the high cloud would soften the light… and it did. Perfect conditions.

Moments like these are why early mornings in the mountains are always worth it.
