Wedding in Grand Hotel Giessbach
It’s always nice for me to photograph a civil wedding in Switzerland. Nicola and Anja were officially married in the Grand Hotel, Giessbach. Once a month this Swiss historic hotel hosts the official marriage ceremony.
They had a booked a room in the hotel which had a spectacular view of Lake Brienz and the waterfall from the large balcony.
The hotel has a beautiful room for the ceremony. Usually, there are about 8 official weddings during the day. It will be busy! Parking at the top is CHF. 10.- for the day. It can be difficult to get permission to drive down the mountain from the parking area to the hotel. Unless you have a room at the hotel. It’s a long walk up the hill afterwards!
