A surprise engagement in Wengen, Switzerland, on another beautiful day in the Swiss Alps. Although the sunshine and mountain scenery may sound idyllic, photographing couples in these conditions can be surprisingly challenging for photographers with limited experience.
After working outdoors throughout the summer, I have learned how to adapt to the changing light and strong sunshine of the alpine environment. Direct sunlight can create harsh shadows across faces, often resulting in unflattering wedding and engagement photographs.
Knowing how to work with the light, rather than simply relying on the beautiful scenery, makes all the difference. My aim is to capture these special moments naturally, while making the most of the spectacular landscape surrounding Wengen.
