Another Surprise Engagement in Iseltwald
Varun and Zeel must have caught one of the very early trains from Zürich to Interlaken. (Change at Bern railway station.) They took the number 103 bus from Interlaken Ost to Iseltwald.
I was unknown to Zeel and I had arrived early and set up my two cameras and iPhone to video the ceremony.
However, a delay in Iseltwald. Zeel wanted to change shoes on the bus allowing a group of elderly tourists from South Korea to get to the Iseltwald Pier before them.
They managed to push past them on the pier without falling in Brienzersee lake. Varun went down on one knee and proposed to Zeel.
Afterwards this lovely couple from the USA left the pier to come and say hello to me. Which allowed the travel group to take over the pier. I had to go and ask them if they would kindly move and give us 10 minutes. Which is what they did! How nice.
The conditions were perfect in my opinion. Dark rain clouds hiding the sun. The sun is difficult as it is low in the sky at 8 a.m. and blasts the pier with sunlight. Creating deep shadows everywhere.

Interlaken West Railway Station: Depart 07:57.
Interlaken Ost Railway Station: Depart 08:05.
Arrive Iseltwald, Dorfplatz: 08:26.
