Engagement Photo Shoot on Männlichen Mountain 💍🏔️

At the beginning of September 2026, I had the pleasure of photographing a lovely and very fun couple from the USA during an engagement photo shoot on Männlichen Mountain.

Liz and Kilian had actually got engaged in the USA a few days earlier. They then travelled to Switzerland, where they planned their engagement photo shoot among the spectacular scenery of the Swiss Alps. Liz told me that when Kilian proposed, he also told her that they were going to Switzerland — what a way to celebrate an engagement!

At around 2,343 metres above sea level, Männlichen is a fantastic location for couples photography. The mountain offers spectacular views across the Jungfrau region and towards some of Switzerland’s most famous peaks.

Männlichen is easily accessible from both sides of the mountain. You can travel up from Wengen on the Wengen–Männlichen cableway, or from Grindelwald Terminal using the Grindelwald–Männlichen gondola.

One of the fun things about photographing on Männlichen is the possibility of encountering the local cows. Unfortunately, there weren’t any around during our visit — the farmer had already started moving them down the mountain for the winter.

However, there was plenty of evidence that the cows had been there! 🐄😄
