Surprise Engagement in Interlaken
A lakeside surprise engagement by in Interlaken with a lovely couple from Singapore. A photo shoot afterwards on a cold winter’s morning in Switzerland.
As normal, everything was arranged by e-mail. What could not be relied upon was the weather. The forecast was nice but the low cloud over Lake Thun didn’t want to move! Unfortunately no pictures of the couple with the mountains in the background. However, the soft light was nice for pictures on the path by the lake.
I always offer a couples photo shoot after the engagement.
Meng Siew and Nicole arrived by bus from Interlaken West railway station. It’s about a 10 minute journey. Their Air Bnb didn’t give them an Interlaken Guest Card (???) and the tourist office in the centre of Interlaken would give them one either. They purchased a Day Card or “Tagekarte” from the bus driver. With it they can travel free on the bus and visit places like the castle at Ringgenberg, Iseltwald and Beatenburg.

Nicole and I have now arrived back in Singapore and have downloaded the photos.
Although the weather was not in our favor that day for lake Thun, the proposal was perfect for us and we still managed to get many nice pictures from the places you brought us to.
Thank you again for everything, from the suggestions on locations to going down to check out the places ahead of the event and bringing us to more locations for more pictures and memories. It was an important milestone for us and you captured the moments so beautifully.
