Surprise Engagement on Iseltwald Pier
An early morning marriage proposal on the pier made famous in the Korean Netflix TV series “Crash Landing On You“. This location attracts everyday lots of people from Asia. In their bus loads! The tourists stand in line to use the pier for selfies. They don’t hurry!
It hasn’t been possible to get their early because sunrise was around 8 a.m. However, the days are starting to get brighter and sunrise is earlier.
Wenjie was sending me messages from the bus from Interlaken. It was still dark and he asked if we should delay it an hour. This is not a good idea because the tourist buses start arriving around 8.30 am. It had got lighter on his arrival and there was enough light for my Nikon D850 cameras.
The weather can be unpredictable in December in Switzerland. The low clouds can roll in over the lake Brienzersee very quickly. Which is what happened. It was impossible to see anything in the distance.
The clouds were from ground level up to 180 meters high. The clouds are between me, my camera and the couple on the pier. The pictures are not 100% clear.
I took the couple to another location where it was nice as clear.
Wenjie brought the flowers with him. I did not supply them.
