Surprise Engagement Proposal
Photographer for a surprise engagement proposal in Lauterbrunnen. A lovely couple from the U.S.A. tie the knot in Switzerland.
I was a little concerned as I left home. There were a lot of low clouds hanging over Interlaken. However, they all cleared away during the drive through the valley to Lauterbrunnen. I arrived early at the location and send Christian a WhatsApp message.
They arrived on the next bus from Interlaken. The trains had been replaced by a bus service due to rail track maintenance. Christian almost caught me by surprise. He passed by me and went straight down on one knee to propose to Rebecca. It had happened to me before and I was ready!

Afterwards, they visited the Staubbach waterfall before going on to Stechelberg. They are building a new, modern cable car system in Stechelberg.
They took the cable cars up to Schilthorn – Piz Gloria for the “James Bond Brunch“. We had a couples photo shoot on the viewing platform in the snow.

Lauterbrunnen is very popular with tourists. A small tourist group arrived during the photo shoot. Not a location to propose if you want privacy.
