Pre-wedding Photoshoot in Iseltwald

A before the wedding photo shoot with a couple who are big fans of the “Crash Landing On You” TV series.

It’s the week after the Easter holiday. The couple chose a photo shoot after 8 a.m. on the Iseltwald pier. The sun had not arrived and the morning was still waking up. The clocks had been put forward one hour. 8 a.m was 7 a.m. the previous week.

I have had some nice pre-wedding photo shoots around 11 a.m but there is a risk of colliding with buses full of tourists. This time Gilliene and Gerald were lucky and had the pier to themselves for 20 minutes. Tourist buses can arrive from 8 a.m. but many of the tourists do not have the time to queue for the pier. But there are many who do not come with a tourist bus and will wait for to use the pier. They will take their time when they are taking their selfies. I usually prepare myself to wait an extra 30 minutes.

A wedding photo shoot does take a little longer than a normal couples photo shoot. A long wedding dress has to be straightened out. We didn’t have that problem with Gilliene’s dress. Gerald wanted to keep his glasses on during the photo shoot.

I took the couple to other locations in Iseltwald after the pier which are not popular with the tourists.
