The temperatures in Interlaken are over 30 centigrade but there is snow on the Jungfraujoch.
This is not the place for anyone looking for a quiet place for a marriage proposal. The Glacier Plateau area of the Jungfraujoch is full of tourists during the summer months. But this not worry Kush. His entire family of over 20 people was with him and looked on as he went down on one knee.
We had the added problem of a helicopter using the area as a landing place. Throwing sharp ice particles into the air and faces of the families as it landed and took off. Not good in my opinion of Air Glaciers.
The helicopter flew low over the people on the Plateau. The rope underneath got tangled with the safety barrier made of rope. It stopped tourists falling over the edge. This is why it is missing in the first picture.
