A surprise engagement on Iseltwald Pier in the middle of March 2025. She said yes on the jetty made popular in the Netflix’s Asian TV series “Crash Landing On You”.
I was fully prepared for the couple who had traveled all the way from Zurich in their rental car. For the shoot, I worked with two cameras: my Nikon D850, capturing a photo every three seconds, and my Sony A7IV, which I used for intimate close-up shots of the couple on the pier.
Additionally, I had my iPhone recording video to complement the session. Arriving early allowed me to set up my equipment on tripods, ensuring everything was ready to go.
However, things can get more challenging at other locations, especially when I’m leading couples down winding mountain trails for the perfect shot.
The weather is unpredictable and I like to wait until the evening before I meet the clients to check my weather app. The animator gives a 12 hour weather forecast.
This location has become less popular because there will be people on the shore looking at the pier. Some standing in line to use the pier. You will have to ignore them.
Last year, an unlucky couple experienced a heart-stopping moment when their engagement ring slipped out of the box and vanished into the lake! Read the full story here.
Engagement photo shoots take place at various picturesque locations in Iseltwald following the proposal.
