A Wedding Anniversary photo shoot in the mountains that surround Interlaken at sunset. Garrett and Melissa from somewhere in the USA book me for a photo shoot at sunset. As you are aware, the sunsets at different times throughout the year. We also have to remember that the sun is high during the summer and low during the winter months. The sun doesn’t technically go down at the designated time. It can be earlier by disappearing behind a mountain peak. So much to remember!
The heatwave in Switzerland makes it a challenge to take photos. Everybody I photograph ask for the Swiss Alps in the background. The hot air creates a haze which can have an effect on the background. One of the many things to accept on a sunny day. The haze will be there all summer. The best times are in Spring and Autumn when it is colder.
We can wait until the early evening for a photo shoot. Unfortunately the majority of the cable car and mountain railways close around 5 p.m. It is possible to be on the Harder Kulm (Interlaken) to watch the sunset and visit somewhere like the location below.
